Rescheduling Appointments and Cancellations
To reschedule, please call 410-550-7715. Early notification of a cancellation allows us to schedule another patient who is waiting to be seen in this time slot.
Cancellation Policy
Twenty-four hour (24) notice is required for cancellations. Call 410-550-7715. Patients will be charged $75 for missed appointments or failure to notify The Johns Hopkins Scleroderma Center at least 24 hours in advance. (This fee is not covered by health insurance.)
Prescription Refills
The Johns Hopkins Scleroderma Center will call or fax a pharmacy for refills of routine prescriptions, with the exception of on weekends or holidays. Some prescriptions require prior authorization by insurance companies, which can take several days. Medical Assistance and certain pain medications cannot be ordered by phone; the prescription order can be mailed to the patient or picked up at the Center. Patients are urged to plan ahead to avoid running out of medication. Patients are encouraged to call about needed refills of any medications before the clinic visit. By calling ahead, the prescriptions will be ready for you at the time of your visit.
